Over the years, the shop has grown and expanded and still manages to grow and produce their own products. Depending on the season, local vegetables such as spinach, broccoli, cauliflowers, cabbage and fresh herbs are available. In the Summer, tomatoes, beans, pumpkins, sweet corn and more fresh herbs are available. Other local produce is purchased from local sources such as potatoes, watermelon, cucumbers, lettuce and fruits such as bananas, avocados and lychees.

Ten years have passed since the store began operating. Inspired by a love of growing vegetables, the business grew rapidly as a loyal and encouraging community embrased the concept of having a fresh food store at their fingertips. Incorporating a vast array of locally sourced products and even some of our own creations, Gladstone Fruit and Vegetables is a one stop shop for all your fresh food needs.

But that's not all. We also sell local dairy products from Hastings Valley dairy in Wauchope, milk from "Norco" and "Dairy Farmers", gourmet food products including muesli and coffee from Byron Bay and delicious olives from Telegraph Point (ten minutes south of Port Macquarie). In keeping with the homemade and local feel, we also cook our own famous tomato relish, sweet mustard pickles and loads of seasonal jam and relishes.
